Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About!!!
If you haven’t seen it, here it is! A few days ago, Advancing DHS landed on the front page of the Desert Sun! While we recognize the publicity as an honor, we also recognize it as a challenge due to the fact that many feel as if our vision is too grand. In addition to the printed paper, the electronic platforms featured our story as well. You can view the story here: Desert Sun ADHS .
Once the story opens electronically, the reader has the chance to comment and interact with other readers…. this is where the challenge is evident.
There were many disparaging comments made concerning our efforts and our city. Albeit many of the commenters more than likely live elsewhere and are presumably repeating things they have “heard”, it is still disheartening to see the broad misconceptions.
The responses above are exactly the type of responses we need. People who live in , serve, and love this city speaking out against the negativity by showcasing all the amazing things that happen in our city daily. We have grown in many areas and the sky truly is the limit. From our amazing home values, to our panoramic mountain views, our exceptional police department, and our community full of big hearted volunteers and beyond… DHS is on the move! Thank you for Advancing DHS! Now, #DHSstandUP!
